The Dark Knight - My Thoughts: Go Watch It!!

First of all, to all of you regular readers of this page, thanks for coming back everyday for the latest movie news and spoilers on the hottest upcoming movies. DarkUFO and I, of course along with the rest of the team members here at SpoilerTV try our best to stay on top of all the movie scoops we can and promise to continue to bring more and more as we grow.

If you are a indeed a regular reader, you will know that we tend to stay strictly on course with posting trailers, news and spoilers. We post hardly any box office news or reviews if any.

However, today with this post I would like to change it up just a bit and give you my (spoiler-free as possible) thoughts on what has become one of the most hyped up movies probably of all time.

Helping run a movie spoiler site can have some downsides, one of them being you get spoiled and perhaps can not enjoy a movie like The Dark Knight that released 1 millions viral sites, promos and trailers!!

I would like to tell you with ALL of the stuff that I have read about this movie and posted here, I just witnessed probably the BEST comic book adaptation (movie) ever. When I say "just". I mean it. I literally just walked in from a special early 9PM screening at our local theater here in LA and started typing.

My first thought walking out of the theater was:

OMG That was F'ing Awesome!!

Yeah I might be a huge comic book fan and fanboy and love scifi like LOST and Heroes and yes I am going to Comic Con next week. So yes there might be some bias, but I can truly say this was amazing movie all around. Director Christopher Nolan absolutely knows what the F he is doing and deserves a tremendous amount of credit for being able to deliver a movie of this caliber with all of the so called over hype.

I am sure the movie will get close to if not break box office records and yes perhaps some will be watching it because of Heath Ledger's passing.

My second thought:

What a damn F'ing shame to lose such a great actor in Heath Ledger.

I might not be a "critic" but it does NOT take a critic to tell you that Ledger's performance was golden!! Spot on The Joker with out ANY doubt!! I love Jack, yes Jack Nicholson who played Joker in the first Batman movie. He was great then, but sorry Jack, Heath absolutely destroyed your Joker. There is no comparison and I can truly say it is a shame we lost an actor as talented as Heath Ledger.

I know we still have 5+ months probably left in the Oscar movie "Race" and I don't know if he will win for supporting actor, but if I had a vote, he would get mine now. I honestly do not know what kind of performance it will take to top what he did in this movie. Talk about jumping into character!! Truly the man. Crazy and psychotic yet engaging and funny all at the same time.

My third and fourth thoughts:

I want to watch this movie again now AND I want to go watch it on IMAX this weekend.

AM I hyping this up more also!!?? Well yes I F'ing am and the movie deserves all the praise it gets.

My next thought was:

WOW ....that these 100s and 1000s of people are walking in to see the midnight show and they are going to LOVE IT!! Can't remember the last time I felt this way.

Christian Bale once again gave a great performance showing both sides of his character, Bruce Wayne and Dark Knight soooo well. Speaking of sides!! Two Face Two Face Two Face!!

No the leaked spoiler images did not ruin Two Face for me and Aaron Eckhart was THE man as Harvey Dent (Two Face). The acting all around was great, Morgan Freeman (one of my favorite actors of all time), Michael Caine and Gary Oldman all shined in their roles.

Be prepared for the length of the movie, because for some at 2 1/2 hours it might be or seem long, but to me it did not feel that long. It is an intense and dark movie, it steps on the peddle from the opening scenes of the movie and does not let up all the way through the end.

BTW, with all of the spoilers I read there were STILL several scenes I had no idea about, was completely shocked and loved them!!

Well my final thought on while on the way home and before I started this post was, I need to write something a blog a post a review and tell you all three words:

GO WATCH IT!!
