Greed is good, once again.
After weeks of rumors, 20th Century Fox has set Oliver Stone to return as helmer of the sequel to his 1987 hit "Wall Street." Shia LaBeouf is also in the mix for "Wall Street 2."
LaBeouf is negotiating to join Michael Douglas, who won an Oscar for his portrayal of Gordon Gekko in the original pic. The sequel will once again involve a young Wall Street trader, and the recent economic meltdown spurred by rampant greed and corruption will fit prominently into the plot.
Allan Loeb will write the script. Edward R. Pressman is back as producer.

Danny Huston to Play Poseidon in Clash of the Titans

Although principal photography started earlier this week, there are still more casting announcements to be made. The latest to join Louis Leterrier's Clash of the Titans remake is actor Danny Huston, who can be seen as William Stryker in X-Men Origins: Wolverine this weekend. Huston has previously appeared in 21 Grams, The Aviator, Marie Antoinette, Children of Men, The Number 23, and 30 Days of Night as well. In the original film, Poseidon was played by Jack Gwillim. I always remember him as the rather unexciting god who just swam around in slow motion underwater. I hope Hudson brings some more thunder this time.
In Clash of the Titans, the ultimate struggle for power pits men against kings and kings against gods. Born of a god but raised as a man, Perseus (Sam Worthington) is helpless to save his family from Hades, vengeful god of the underworld. With nothing left to lose, Perseus volunteers to lead a dangerous mission to defeat Hades before he can seize power from Zeus and unleash hell on earth. Leading a daring band of warriors, Perseus sets off on a perilous journey deep into forbidden worlds. Battling unholy demons and fearsome beasts, he will only survive if he can accept his power as a god, defy his fate and create his own destiny.

Courtesy of Multipleverses Here are my recordings of the local news coverage of the big Wolverine world premiere in Tempe Arizona on Monday. Hugh and the cast were really gracious and seemed to have a good time. If you are wondering who the local celebs being interviewed and pointed out they are Scott MacIntyre who was one of this year's American Idol top ten finalists, Matt Leinart of the Arizona Cardinals and Sheriff Joe Arpaio who is a local politician that you can google and be amazed by. Hugh cruised in on a big black Harley- my favorite news from the coverage was that Hugh bought breakfast for all of the people who camped out overnight to get good seats.

Denzel Washington Cast as Lead in Unstoppable

Denzel Washington is in talks to star in Tony Scott’s action drama Unstoppable. Washington would play an experienced engineer who finds himself in a race against time, with a runaway train carrying a cargo of toxic chemicals. The role of the conductor who helps Washington’s character, has not yet been cast. The duo chase the runaway train in a separate locomotive and need to bring it under control before it derails on a curve and causes a toxic spill that could decimate a town.
Screenwriter Mark Bomback (Live Free or Die Hard, Deception, Race to Witch Mountain) based the script loosely inspired by true events. The project has gone under two previous titles: Runaway Train and 8888, named after the CSX locomotive model number, often referred to as “Crazy Eights” because of two separate incidents in Ohio, one a derailment, the other a runaway train the film is loosely based on.
