WB Planning Batman Reboot After The Dark Knight Rises for JLA Movie?

Labels: , , ,

Ok, so some of you might have missed this story but I briefly mentioned this news yesterday in my post about WB wanting to make a Justice League (JLA) movie and quick. Quick as in 2013.

I still do not know how they are planning to do it, but apparently since Bale does not want to be a part of the series after the next movie the plan is to quickly reboot Batman again and then have Superman followed by Justice League. All by 2013?

Of course this Summer we have Green Lantern, but who knows how well that will even do and completely a whole different post. Notice that there has been almost NO marketing for GL?

Well what started off as a small comment from WB Chief Jeff Robinov about wanting to do a JLA movie, in 24 hours has turned into a full-blown internet debate mainly consisting of backlash towards WB for wanting to reboot Batman so quickly after Nolan's trilogy.

However, there is a catch. A big one that I did not know when I initially posted the story earlier. Apparently Nolan is on board to produce!?

Here is the statement from WB Chief to LA Times:

“We have the third Batman, but then we’ll have to reinvent Batman... Chris Nolan and [producing partner and wife] Emma Thomas will be producing it, so it will be a conversation with them about what the next phase is.”

Sooo, lets get this straight. Nolan has The Dark Knight Rises, then will quickly produce a fourth Batman with a new cast so WB can make the JLA movie they want.

The big question most are asking is why? Well plain and simple, it comes down to money and of course trying to keep up to speed with Marvel's plan of The Avengers.

I honestly do not know what to think still, because I trust in Nolan, but what do you all think? Should WB rush this or take their time??
